JACOB BENEDICT, MD

Jacob Benedict, MD, was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Benedict transitioned to competitive cheerleading at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. After graduating with honors, he completed his Medical Doctorate at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Benedict completed his 5-year Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He enjoys treating his patient’s immediate medical needs and emotional, physical, and social wellness.

Dr. Benedict practices pediatric and adult otolaryngology. During his residency training, he took a particular interest in laryngology and the treatment of vocal disorders, including vocal cords paralysis, dysphagia and benign vocal cord pathology. He is also trained in treating surgical conditions of the sinus, nasal cavity, facial trauma, thyroid/parathyroid, and obstructive sleep apnea. He enjoys improving his patient’s vocal quality and ability to communicate with their loved ones.

Dr. Benedict’s educational background reflects a strong commitment to excellence in both science and medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he developed a solid foundation in the biological sciences. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Benedict then completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he received advanced training in the comprehensive medical and surgical care of conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck.
