JOHN NEINER, MD
Dr. John Neiner is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate training in the honors program at the University of Notre Dame studying biochemistry. He followed this with medical training at the Medical College of Georgia and subsequently completed a 5 year rigorous surgical residency at Louisiana State University in Otolaryngology/ENT.
Dr. Neiner practices comprehensive otolaryngology, caring for surgical and medical problems of all adult and pediatric ENT disorders. He has a special interest in disorders of nose, sinus, and allergies and he along with the other providers helped found the Sinus Institute of Southwest Florida in 2017. Dr. Neiner’s modern surgical training included advanced training with in-office minimally invasive ENT procedures done under local anesthesia such as balloon sinuplasty, turbinate reduction, cryoablation for “runny nose”, nasal valve repair, diagnostic nasal and throat endoscopies, skin cancer excisions, and other office-based procedures with minimal to no downtime.
Dr. Neiner is trained in all surgical disorders of the head and neck including nasal/sinus surgery, ear surgery and hearing rehabilitation, oral cavity, facial trauma, thyroid/parathyroid, head and neck cancers, and facial plastic surgeries. He is also an associate of the American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy and is pleased to offer comprehensive nasal-allergy care including sublingual immunotherapy within his practice.
Dr. Neiner’s educational background is rooted in a commitment to academic excellence and specialized medical training. He graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Biochemistry, laying a strong scientific foundation for his medical career. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Heiner completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he received comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions.
